  • Prepare and package food products, including slicing, packaging, and labeling, to ensure high-quality products are delivered to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to H-E-B's food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including slicers and other food preparation equipment, to ensure efficient and effective food production.
  • Assist in inventory management, including receiving and stocking products, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in food service and customer service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in food service or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
Working Conditions

The Food Service Specialist will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent exposure to wet, cold, and hot conditions. The ability to lift 50-70 pounds and stand for long periods is required.
