Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals by adhering to standardized recipes, ensuring high-quality culinary standards.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment, following all health and safety regulations.
  • Deliver timely meal service to residents, ensuring satisfaction and nutritional needs are met.
  • Assist in the setup and organization of food service lines.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment and workspaces after each use.
  • Support special events and activities with culinary contributions.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Director in training and supervising kitchen staff.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • ServSafe certification (to be obtained within 90 days of employment).
  • Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred:

  • Vocational or technical training in culinary arts.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a similar culinary environment.
  • Background in scratch cooking.
