Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a strong background in acute care nursing to fill this exciting opportunity. In this role, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide direct and indirect patient care, implement basic nursing procedures, and administer treatments as prescribed by physicians. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, including administering treatments, immunizations, and medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Implement basic nursing procedures, such as point-of-care testing and laboratory reports, according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with RNs and practitioners to revise care plans and ensure effective patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to departmental and JCAHO standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in area of specialization.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 12 months LPN experience in acute care nursing.
  • Hawaii State Board of Nursing-approved curriculum for LPN licensure.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (Hawaii) certification required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
