Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Mentor to join our team at Idaho Materials & Construction. In this role, you will be responsible for training new employees and refreshing current employees on safe operation of a CMV as per company policies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct road tests for potential new drivers.
  • Provide initial orientation and training for new drivers.
  • Inspect, analyze, and diagnose malfunctions in trucking equipment.
  • Accurately record training documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of DOT regulations.
  • Collaborate with PL teams to develop training procedures.
  • Conduct Safety Meetings as specified by management.
  • Communicate company safety and production standards to all drivers.
  • Offer feedback that promotes productivity and positive morale.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years driving experience within the industry.
  • A valid Class A or B CDL as per DOT requirements.
  • A doubles endorsement.
  • A current Medical Card.
