We are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer who specializes in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. The ideal candidate will have experience in sports medicine, athletic training, or a therapeutic environment, and will be able to create a positive environment that welcomes all people.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional care to patients, including fostering patient engagement, encouragement, and motivation.
- Under Chiropractic Physician supervision, evaluate patients and design/implement a plan of care based on physician preferences, patient functioning, diagnosis, treatment, self-management, and access to healthcare resources.
- Document evaluations and plans of care.
- Deliver physical care to patients following medical direction, including monitoring of patient response and results during care.
- Instruct patients and/or family members in treatment, activities, and home care based on physician preferences.
- Provide preventative education and counseling to patients, families, and groups regarding health maintenance, normal body function, injury prevention, strength, and conditioning.
- Stay abreast of and comply with all state and federal laws, including HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, and FLSA.
- Maintain an organized and clean rehabilitation/training workspace.
- Assist Clinic Manager with front desk responsibilities, clinic tours, and events as needed.
- At minimum, a Bachelor's degree from a CAATE-accredited institution.
- NATA BOC Certified and IL state licensed preferred but not required.
- Completion of McKenzie (MDT) coursework preferred but not required.
- Experience in sports medicine, athletic training, or a therapeutic environment preferred.
- Ability to create a positive environment that welcomes all people.
- Fantastic communication skills and exudes empathy.
- Must love connecting with people and have passion for helping them achieve goals.
- Must have a professional work ethic, be reliable, and adhere to our attendance policies.
- Passion for health and wellness and driving positive change in healthcare.
