Position Description

The Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse with extensive experience in patient care and a deep understanding of specific patient populations. This role requires the application of acquired knowledge, research, and practical experience to effectively respond to evolving clinical situations.

The successful candidate will:

- Provide safe, reliable, and effective care to patients independently, utilizing the nursing process.
- Implement the Synergy Model for Care in practice, tailoring care to meet the unique needs of each patient and their family.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
- Accurately document the nursing process in the appropriate formats (e.g., electronic records, clinical pathways, charts).
- Incorporate patient and family input into the care planning process.
- Assess patient responses to care and modify plans as necessary.
- Advocate for patients based on a thorough understanding of their conditions.
- Recognize and respect cultural differences in developing relationships with patients and families.

Minimum Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Must possess a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the relevant licensing board.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS certification may be necessary in designated departments.

Physical Requirements

- Medium-Heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs), with varying demands throughout the workday; frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting; close visual work (computers, typing, reading, writing).

Environmental Factors

- Exposure to various environmental conditions depending on assigned tasks, including potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens, biohazardous waste, chemicals, and communicable diseases. Use of personal protective equipment may be required.

Compensation Information

- Hourly Rate: $44.00 - $50.60
