Walmart, a global retail leader, is seeking an Independent Optometrist to establish a practice within our stores. This unique opportunity allows for autonomy in setting schedules, fees, and operational hours.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year

Our optometrists enjoy a competitive salary range based on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

Patient Care and Services

As an independent lease holder, you will provide comprehensive eye care services to Walmart customers, focusing on general health and well-being. Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough eye exams and assessments
  • Prescribing corrective lenses and treatments
  • Maintaining accurate patient records

Independence and Autonomy

You have the flexibility to:

  • Set your own schedule and operational hours
  • Determine your fee structure
  • Manage your patient flow and appointments

Support and Resources

We offer optional equipment and instrumentation support for a fair market value, as well as administrative and/or opt-tech services (if state regulations permit).

Requirements:

To become a successful Independent Optometrist at Walmart, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited institution
  • Valid state optometry license
  • Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school
  • Valid state ophthalmology license
  • General Liability Certificate
  • Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
  • W-9 form
