Job Summary:

The Medical Director, Camlipixant is a key member of the Medical Matrix Team responsible for driving the medical impact of an asset. This role plays a critical part in developing the medical strategy and executing Medical Affairs tactics for a GSK Key Asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute US medical strategy and perspective, ensuring medical strategy and plans are aligned with commercial asset strategy where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the cross-functional Medical Matrix Team to tailor and adapt global asset strategy for US specific customer needs and environment.
  • Gain strategic alignment of asset positioning and evidence planning with the overall therapeutic portfolio and disease area strategies.
  • Engage with external communities to advance scientific and medical understanding, including the appropriate development and use of our medicines, the management of disease, and patient care.
  • Coordinate with the US MSL and GMAL on joint global and US engagement of top US based EEs.
  • Stay up-to-date on the evolving healthcare environment (provider/expert) and payer landscapes and help to translate that working knowledge into a tactical plan for addressing unmet needs in the health ecosystem.
  • Review, synthesize, and analyze clinical trial data and translate data into actionable plans at the product level.
  • Develop product strategy for local Medical Advisory Board and Expert Panel meetings, Medical Grants, and Medical Publications.
  • Support Medical Information on FAQs and standard response letters.
  • Ensure sound medical governance for all activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Healthcare Doctorate (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, DNP, NP, PA)
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • 5 or more years Pharma industry pre-clinical background experience
  • Experience working in a US healthcare environment, including external stakeholder management
  • Experience working in medical affairs accountabilities, evidence generation, external engagement, and provider internal advice

  • Medical affairs experience
  • Disease area expertise and appropriate medical and/or clinical experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to influence and drive change, proactively looking for new opportunities and anticipating the need for change
