The Medical Technician II - Emergency Medicine plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting with physical exams, point-of-care testing, treatments, and data collection.

This individual works closely with a virtual advanced practice provider while being present with patients in their homes, providing hospital-level healthcare in a home setting.

Strong organizational and customer service skills are essential for success in this role, as is the ability to learn new technology and adapt to a dynamic environment.

Extensive on-the-job training will be provided for this opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Job Details:

Day shift: 8 am - 6 pm, with a minimum of 13 shifts per month, including 4 weekend days.

Must have 2 years of EMT or Certified Medical Assistant experience in an urgent care or family practice setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide assistance with physical exams using a mobile device.
  2. Conduct diagnostic tests and treatments as directed by the virtual provider, within state law regulations.
  3. Perform indicated point-of-care lab testing as directed.
  4. Prepare discharge instructions in conjunction with the provider.
  5. Responsible for equipment use, care, and allocation.
  6. Restock and clean equipment at the end of the shift.

Requirements:

  1. EMT certification with NREMT, or EMT-B (per state requirements) in good standing, OR Paramedic OR Medical Assistant.
  2. Minimum one (1) year patient-facing experience.
  3. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  4. BLS, American Heart Association.
  5. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  6. Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  7. Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills.
