Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at the University of Virginia's Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology. The successful candidate will contribute to our research program focused on sex differences in cardiovascular disease and the development of novel therapies for coronary microvascular disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to day-to-day laboratory operations and provide scientific and technical assistance on experimental design
  • Perform studies needed to advance the missions of our research program
  • Collaborate with senior scholars to publish research results and advance the field
Requirements
  • PhD, MD, or equivalent degree required
  • Experience in clinical cardiology and clinical cardiac imaging, with a track record of successful publication in the field
  • Proficiency in working with and analyzing cardiac magnetic resonance, computed tomography, and echocardiographic images using a wide range of software programs
  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy to facilitate image segmentation and labeling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
