Practice EnvironmentJoin a complex orthopedic specialty office where our surgeons focus on various fields including General Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Orthopedic Traumatology, Sports Medicine, Foot & Ankle Surgery, and Hand Surgery. Our facility utilizes the Cerner EMR system to enhance patient care.
LocationThis role serves the Southwest Michigan region, with primary operations centered in a vibrant community.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will:
- Evaluate and treat patients utilizing appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
- Participate in efforts to enhance cost-effectiveness and quality of care.
- Accept patient referrals and act as the admitting or consulting physician as needed.
- Engage in academic programs such as medical education and research.
- Document patient care to meet insurance requirements and manage appeals for denials.
- Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, including on-call duties.
Applicants must possess:
- Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in orthopedic surgery.
- Current certification or active participation in the certification process by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
- A minimum of 50 general orthopedic procedures performed in the last year or completion of an accredited residency or clinical fellowship within the past year.
- Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine.
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
