Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Travel Nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit to work in a dynamic ICU setting. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and monitor patients in an ICU setting, providing direct care and documenting patient information.
  • Assess and implement patient care plans, delegating tasks to other care providers as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patient families, addressing long-term care needs.
  • Perform basic bedside care, prepare and administer medication, and order diagnostic tests.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting electronic displays and ensuring proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing.
  • Communicate patient conditions to family members and ensure proper documentation.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure and ACLS certification.
  • 1-2 years of recent acute care experience in an ICU setting.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds and stand for long periods.
