As a Pulmonary Nurse at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues. You will work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Your responsibilities will include maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities, and providing quality nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues
• Work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities
• Provide quality nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle

Qualifications:
Minimum Education Required:
Graduate of a nursing program

Minimum Experience Required:
New graduates of a nursing program eligible

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required by Law:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.

Additional Qualifications:
Advanced certification in the field of specialty, if applicable. Bachelor's degree preferred. Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.

The 12-bed Pulmonary Unit is located on the 6th floor of the new Main Tower. The clinical staff on Pulmonary work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists to provide top-notch care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues.
