Production Specialist Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Production Specialist to join our evening team, responsible for ensuring high-quality video production across various aspects, including audio management, graphic operations, camera work, editing, and attention to detail. This role requires adaptability, a willingness to wear multiple hats, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the editorial team to meet production requirements
• Assist the director in producing consistent, high-quality videos
• Ensure timely video export and labeling
• Manage audio levels and equipment
• Create and operate graphics systems, cameras, and lighting
• Coordinate the Evening Rundown to ensure prompt publication
• Support video editing tasks
• Publish multiple podcast episodes weekly
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Production, Visual Arts, Digital Video, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in TV news or similar production roles
• Proficiency in Ross equipment, Inception, Xpression, and other Ross software (or comparable)
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility in a dynamic newsroom
• Proactive problem-solving and self-motivation
• Good computer skills, navigating Windows and Mac interfaces
• Understanding of visual composition and framing
• Multitasking and ability to juggle multiple projects
• Familiarity with field cameras and Dante Audio is a plus
