Physical Therapist Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Volunteers of America - Greater New York (VOA-GNY). As a Physical Therapist, you will provide physical therapy treatment to children in our special education preschool setting, perform assessments, and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and students.

**Responsibilities:**

* Implement physical therapy intervention plans directly or in collaboration with others
* Screen and evaluate children to obtain and interpret data necessary for planning intervention and treatment
* Perform advanced, specialized evaluations or assessments as indicated by an individual child's needs
* Document services as required by VOA-GNY and third-party payers
* Follow the Physical Therapy Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, as well as VOA-GNY policies and procedures
* Maintain treatment areas and equipment as required
* Supervise physical therapy practitioners, students, and other staff performing supportive services
* Participate in professional development activities as mandated by VOA-GNY and licensure requirements
