About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our global development team at FIS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our next-generation Middle Office and Collateral Administration product offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database configurations to improve performance and resource utilization.
  • Maximize the availability of the loan administration platform.
  • Ensure SQL code quality, readability, and maintainability.
  • Define and implement alerting thresholds and notifications for important application and database events.
  • Review T-SQL code during the development process and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer/information sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of work experience in information technology with proven abilities as a database engineer or similar role.
  • Advanced SQL code writing skills and expertise with Azure services relevant to database management.
  • Proficiency in deploying and managing SQL databases on Azure VMs or Azure SQL Managed Instances.
  • Demonstrated expertise in performance tuning applications from top to bottom.

The pay range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $185,350.00, and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location.
