About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to join our team at Transdev. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring that they are safe, reliable, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a large fleet of vehicles, ensuring that they are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
- Supervise a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and repaired.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that maintenance and repair work is completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that necessary parts and materials are available when needed.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for maintenance personnel.
- Participate in the development and administration of the operational budget, ensuring that maintenance and repair costs are properly managed.
- Identify opportunities for improving maintenance and repair processes, and implement changes as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, transportation management) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and repair procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical and/or electrical diagrams.
- Ability to read and write routine reports, forms, and other documentation or correspondence.
