Excela Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Latrobe Hospital. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance exams to produce high-quality images of various anatomical parts and systems for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and analyze patient data to determine optimal imaging parameters
- Verify patient identification and physician orders
- Ensure proper screening protocols are completed prior to patient entry into the scan room
- Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients
- Administer contrast agents and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Operate MRI equipment and maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Document patient information and exam results
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
- Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Act 33 and Act 34 clearances
- Act 73 FBI Clearance
- Current MRI certification or ARRT registration
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The MRI Technologist will be required to stand for long periods, lift patients, and operate heavy equipment.
