As a Counter Sales Representative at FIS Recruitment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their purchases and efficiently processing their orders. You will also be expected to generate sales through excellent customer service, add-on and up-selling. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers at the counter, ask pertinent questions, provide information, take orders, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional and ethical manner at all times, treating external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
  • Effectively promote MITCO and Sid Harvey Manufactured and Remanufactured products as selling tools towards customer up-selling.
  • Enter data and retrieve information on the computer system, including entering customer orders, branch transfers, obtaining quotation information, inventory information, and pricing.
  • Follow up on customer orders, resolve problems to the customer's satisfaction, respond timely to customer inquiries, and notify the Branch Manager of any missed opportunities.
  • Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly, assisting customers, taking orders, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Provide product/job quotes as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of products (i.e. Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating) to meet customer needs.
  • Continuously update product knowledge through available resources, staying informed and educated about product inventory and applicability.
  • Effectively communicate to customers relevant policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch as needed, straightening, cleaning the counter area, warehouse, bathrooms, etc.
  • Report back orders and/or material discrepancies.
  • Accurately perform cycle counts as required.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules, and inform the manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Assist in year-end physical inventories as requested.
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed.
Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, carry, and/or reach. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs, frequently lift up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc. The employee is required to be able to safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack and must be able to pass a drug test.
