Position Overview & Requirements- Specialty: Mammography Technologist
- Discipline: Allied Health Professional
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours, daytime
- Employment Type: Travel
Key Responsibilities:
The Mammography Technologist will operate x-ray machinery and conduct various mammography-related diagnostic tasks. It is essential to maintain a high level of precision in both positioning and exposure techniques. This role is vital to delivering exceptional care and efficient results, thereby influencing both the profitability of the organization and the patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Valid TX license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in Digital Mammography - required
- Experience with 3D Mammography - required
- Completion of a recognized training program in imaging technology
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography
- ARRT advanced certification in mammography or MQSA qualified
- Ongoing education and experience as mandated by MQSA and ARRT
- Familiarity with database software, RIS/PACS, and eRad is advantageous
- Experience with diagnostic procedures, including ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies, is preferred
- Prior quality control experience is beneficial
Additional Information:
- Willing to consider candidates with less than 2 years of experience and first-time travelers
- Ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology
- Capability to stand for extended periods
- COVID-19 and Flu Vaccine requirements are subject to facility guidelines
