Job Summary
Cyclyx is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our project engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects for bulk material handling and processing plants.

Cyclyx is a new kind of plastic feedstock management company that works with industry participants to increase plastic recyclability. We operate as a membership consortium, uniting stakeholders around the circular value chains to work together and drive new results in plastic recycling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project planning and design, including conceptual and detailed design, feasibility studies, and engineering specifications.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage technical aspects, communicate with stakeholders, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor milestones, and prioritize tasks based on project needs and potential bottlenecks.
  • Support cost estimation and budgeting, monitor project costs, and implement cost control measures to keep the project within budget.
  • Ensure all designs meet the required engineering standards, industry best practices, and client requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between various engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.), ensuring that all teams work together to meet project objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication with the client to ensure their requirements are being met and provide updates on progress.
  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure that all materials and services are delivered on time and meet project specifications.

Requirements
  • 5 to 10 years of project engineering experience, preferably in the bulk material handling, solid waste, recycling, manufacturing, and/or petrochemical industries.
  • Detailed understanding of project lifecycles and engineering principles.
  • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficient skills with Project Management software (Primavera, MS Project, Asana, Trello, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field), equivalent experience considered.

What We Offer
A competitive salary range of $115,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits package including health insurance, retirement benefits, and professional growth opportunities.
