This full-time role is designed for professionals eager to collaborate with a dedicated team of hospitalists in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of diverse patient populations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Support Hospitalists in conducting inpatient assessments, including histories and physicals, as well as follow-up consultations.
  • Implement suitable treatment protocols and diagnostic testing for various medical conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive history and physical evaluations for all incoming patients.
  • Engage with rehabilitation patients, including those in long-term acute care.
  • Utilize an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for documentation purposes.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the department.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Willingness to work Night Shift from 7pm to 7am
    Possesses strong skills in active listening, critical analysis, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, and sound decision-making.
  • Must hold a valid Texas license as an Acute Care Physician Assistant.
  • Current ACLS certification is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA in ICU or CVICU settings is essential.
