Job Summary

At Baptist Memorial Health Care, we are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in the DC Path Blood Bank department at BMH-Desoto Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, identify, and prioritize specimens for accurate and timely test processing.
  • Perform and report laboratory procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct quality control, proficiency testing, and routine instrument maintenance and inventory control.
  • Evaluate patient identification to reduce analytical and post-analytical errors.
  • Support lifelong learning and complete assigned goals.
Requirements
  • State licensure and/or national registration or certification in accordance with current Federal and/or State Regulations.
  • Preferred: Hospital experience and ASCP certification.
  • Minimum: Basic computer literacy.
