Job Summary

As a Patient Access Representative at Vidant Health, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families, creating a positive and welcoming experience. Your primary responsibility will be to perform outpatient scheduling, registration, and collect necessary data to ensure accurate billing. You will also serve as a liaison between physician offices and our scheduling team, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless communication.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform outpatient scheduling and registration for all patients
* Collect and verify patient information, including demographic and insurance data
* Ensure accurate and timely billing by collecting necessary signatures and documents
* Serve as a liaison between physician offices and our scheduling team
* Provide exceptional customer service and respond to patient inquiries

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
* 2 years of customer service experience required
* 1-2 years of registration and/or billing experience in a healthcare setting preferred
* Excellent communication, detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills
* Basic computer skills
