Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Repair and maintain refrigeration systems, coolers, air compressors, and HVAC systems
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on facilities, buildings, and grounds
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements
  • 4-6 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance, and general maintenance and repairs for large warehouse, fleet shop, and office facilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or technical certification preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and management
