Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Intelligence Research Specialist to join our team at the USCIS. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating large volumes of intelligence materials, developing and drafting policies, procedures, and guidelines, and representing the organization on committees and working groups.

About the Position

The ideal candidate will possess one year of specialized experience in a related field, which is equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the federal government. This experience should have equipped them with the skills needed to select, abstract, and excerpt data from specific sources, compile it for higher graded specialists, evaluate and make preliminary analyses of raw intelligence data, or provide assistance to senior specialists in collecting intelligence information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing and evaluating large volumes of intelligence materials
  • Developing and drafting policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Representing the organization on committees and working groups
  • Selecting, abstracting, and excerpting data from specific sources
  • Evaluating and making preliminary analyses of raw intelligence data
  • Providing assistance to senior specialists in collecting intelligence information
Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the Time-in-Grade requirement, which must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on December 2, 2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is between $61,100 and $105,400 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
