Observation Unit Registered Nurse

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is seeking a skilled Observation Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Observation Unit
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including administering medications and treatments
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge plans
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patients' condition
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • New graduate nurse or registered nurse with less than one year of acute care RN experience
  • Previous experience working with both medical and telemetry patients
  • ACLS through American Heart Association
  • NIHSS Certification
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours
