Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Mechanic to join our team at the New York State Gov - Division of Military and Naval Affairs. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and completing various general trades projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work from verbal/written descriptions, drawings, or sketches to design and complete projects
  • Be knowledgeable of general shop and trades equipment and machinery
  • Monitor and inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of general trades principles and practices. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
