Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofing and Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Lee County Board of County Commissioners. As a key member of our Facilities Construction and Management department, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our properties, including parks, jails, and administrative buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints to tackle complex installations and repairs.
  • Frame structures using metal or wood, and handle demolition, drywall hanging, and finishing.
  • Repair doors, windows, and hardware, and install and maintain ceiling grids and tiles.
  • Work with concrete, cabinets, countertops, and handrails, and operate shop equipment and tools, including forklifts and aerial platforms.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of commercial roofing, carpentry, or closely related experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Ability to pass background checks (NCIC, fingerprinting, and standard consumer report).
