Job Description

Performance Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a talented and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team. As a Staff Scientist, you will be responsible for consulting and testing projects related to industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, mold, asbestos, and lead.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, mold, asbestos, and lead consulting/testing
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with employees, contractors, and clients
  • Ability to provide site-specific training related to federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conduct Industrial Hygiene monitoring and assessments for chemicals and noise
  • Generate reports, formulate recommendations, and develop written programs
  • Work from ladders or scaffolds and wear PPE such as a respirator
  • Experience in conducting Indoor Air Quality investigations for industrial and non-industrial buildings
  • Certifications such as NIOSH 582, Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Contractor Supervisor, Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor, Certified Microbial Consultant, or similar relevant credentials
  • Willingness to travel periodically to cover projects as they arise (travel costs are covered by the company)
