Stroke Registered Nurse Coordinator PT Days

Huntington Hospital Inc is seeking a highly skilled Stroke Registered Nurse Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Neurosciences department, you will play a vital role in the development, coordination, and maintenance of our stroke program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of evidence-based practice outcomes for stroke patients
  • Coordinate and case manage neurologic patients from the Emergency Room through Rehabilitation
  • Provide patient education from admission to discharge
  • Participate in stroke-related community events
  • Support group facilitation and interdisciplinary collaboration
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) will be considered if enrolled in a BSN program with degree completion within 2 years of date of hire
  • Minimum 3-5 years recent experience in acute neurosciences/critical care/emergency department
  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
  • Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
  • Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association
  • RN Specialty Certification
