Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our team at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography studies, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, to diagnose cardiac conditions.
  • Transport patients to and from the echocardiography lab, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, including ultrasound machines and related devices, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • At least one year of experience in performing echocardiography studies, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
