School Nurse Substitute

We are seeking Occasional School Nurse Substitutes for our schools. Qualified candidates will hold a current license to practice professional nursing in Maine. Knowledge of child and adolescent growth and development along with the knowledge of nursing care for children and adolescents is recommended. Competency in emergency care is a must. Experience working in a school setting and/or with children and adolescents is highly desired. Selected candidates will need to be fingerprinted and will undergo a background check.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for children and adolescents
- Assist with emergency care
- Work with children and adolescents in a school setting
Requirements:
- Current license to practice professional nursing in Maine
- Knowledge of child and adolescent growth and development
- Knowledge of nursing care for children and adolescents
- Competency in emergency care
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a school setting
- Experience working with children and adolescents
