Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist/CVOR Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our CVOR team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and evaluate care of patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive surgical procedures.
- Provide care to patients with complex health issues and serve as a clinical resource to staff.
- Analyze and anticipate less predictable outcomes of surgical interventions.
- Lead service area based committees and participate in identification of cost containment activities.
- Monitor and maintain supplies and initiate purchases to ensure par levels.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent job training.
- Certification in Surgical Technology preferred.
- Two years multispecialty experience with one year in CVOR specialty area.
The physical demands of this role include lifting 50 lbs max, carrying of objects up to 25 lbs, and occasional to frequent standing & walking. Environmental exposures include blood-borne pathogen exposure, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, floor surfaces, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor conditions, latex, lighting, patient care/handling injuries, radiation, shift work, and travel may be required.
