Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Owensboro Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality computed tomography imaging services to patients, while ensuring their safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Imaging Services: Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce high-quality images.
  • Radiation Safety: Implement radiation protection and safety standards to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
  • Procedure Preparation: Prepare for and assist physicians in computed tomography procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Contrast Media Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in Science required upon hire, or a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Certifications: RT(R) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Radiology, RT(CT) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Computed Tomography, and ROC - Radiation Operator Certification in the state of Kentucky required upon hire.
  • Skills and Attributes: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work under minimal supervision, and ability to work in a stressful environment.
