Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our orthopedic services.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures from defined protocols, utilizing your expertise to deliver accurate diagnostic information.
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure seamless communication and effective patient care.
- Utilize radiation protection and shielding materials to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure equipment is in working order, reporting any malfunctions to your supervisor.
- Enter procedures on the superbill, maintaining accurate records and facilitating efficient patient care.
- Complete pending radiologic procedures, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Import and burn CDs as needed for physicians and patients, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain examination rooms by stocking necessary medical and radiologic supplies, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Escort patients to and from waiting rooms and exam rooms, providing exceptional customer service.
- Attend meetings and seminars as needed, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
- Certification as a radiologic technologist, with a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- A passion for patient care and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze situations and develop solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform duties, including standing for prolonged periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in radiologic technology, with a strong understanding of x-ray procedures and protocols.
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program, with a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology.
- AART certification, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
The Radiologic Technologist will work in a clinical environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and interaction with patients, physicians, and other healthcare personnel. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
