About the Role

Eanes Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Installation Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Installation Teams: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics, installers, and repairers to ensure timely and efficient completion of installation projects.
  • Inspect and Monitor Work Areas: Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
  • Investigate Accidents or Injuries: Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor Employee Performance: Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance to ensure high-quality installation work.
  • Requisition Materials and Supplies: Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts, to ensure a well-stocked and efficient installation process.
  • Inspect and Test Completed Work: Inspect, test, and measure completed work to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
  • Conduct or Arrange for Worker Training: Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use to ensure employees have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Develop and Implement Installation Policies: Develop, implement, or evaluate installation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Compute Estimates and Actual Costs: Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Examine Objects, Systems, or Facilities: Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs to ensure efficient and effective installation processes.
  • Confer with Personnel: Confer with personnel, such as management, engineering, quality control, or customers to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances, or identify and review resource needs.
  • Monitor Tool and Part Inventories: Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
  • Perform Skilled Repair or Maintenance Operations: Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, to ensure high-quality installation work.
  • Participate in Budget Preparation and Administration: Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation and monitoring departmental expenditures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Interpret Specifications, Blueprints, or Job Orders: Interpret specifications, blueprints, or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for sales and installation departments.
  • Counsel Employees: Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies to ensure employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Recommend or Initiate Personnel Actions: Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures, to ensure fair and effective personnel management.
  • Review, Evaluate, Accept, and Coordinate Completion of Work: Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate completion of work bid from contractors to ensure high-quality installation work.
  • Compile Operational or Personnel Records: Compile operational or personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results, to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Meet with Vendors or Suppliers: Meet with vendors or suppliers to discuss products used in repair work to ensure high-quality installation materials.
  • Design Equipment Configurations: Design equipment configurations to meet personnel needs to ensure efficient and effective installation processes.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC installation and supervision.
  • Proven track record of supervising and coordinating installation teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, or job orders.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
