POSITION SUMMARY:
As a CT Technologist, you will operate diagnostic imaging equipment under general supervision, adhering to established protocols and procedures. Your role is crucial in providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Confirm patient identity and physician orders prior to procedures.
2. Educate patients and their families about the imaging process.
3. Collect and document comprehensive patient histories.
4. Perform CT scans and related procedures, adjusting techniques based on patient needs.
5. Administer IV contrast media as necessary and maintain proficiency in operating imaging equipment.
6. Monitor patients throughout the imaging process to ensure their safety.
7. Communicate urgent requests to radiologists promptly.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the imaging environment, ensuring all equipment is sanitized.
9. Utilize hospital information systems for order verification and scheduling.
10. Collaborate effectively with medical staff and support teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
Education:
Completion of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
Experience:
1-3 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.
Certifications:
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology is required, with additional CT certification to be obtained within one year of employment.
Other Requirements:
Basic Life Support certification from a recognized provider.
