Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Optum in Brooklyn, NY. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment and associated software
  • Ensure patient safety through proper screening protocols
  • Maintain high-quality images and ensure technical accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and other healthcare professionals
  • Perform quality control and reporting tasks

Requirements:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification
  • MRI certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of MRI Technologist experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
  • Proven ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Proven ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization

Physical Demands:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films

Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly range for this position is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour. UnitedHealth Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution.
