The Asphalt Milling Specialist is a vital role at Pittman Construction Company. This position involves operating the milling machine to mill existing asphalt to the proper depth prior to resurfacing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily maintenance checks on the milling machine and report any mechanical or safety issues to supervisors.
  • Conduct minor repairs to equipment as needed.
  • Assist in the general operation of job sites, including installing and removing auto electronics, adding and removing teeth, lubricating and greasing components, and cleaning excess millings from the machine.
  • Check and maintain grade levels.
  • Operate rollers, power broom, tamps, skid steer loaders, and other necessary equipment.
  • Drive pick-ups, flatbeds, water trucks, and sand trucks as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong problem-solving abilities.
