Job Description

The Bridge Family Center has an opening for a Direct Support Professional to work with adolescents in a therapeutic setting in West Hartford, CT.

About the Role:

  • Assist residents in daily living activities, including study time, chores, cooking, and leisure activities.
  • Engage residents in positive peer interactions and recreational activities.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe environment through implementation of the relational model.

Responsibilities:

  • Behavioral management, including maintaining control and daily routine of residents.
  • Program management, including administration of medication, transportation, and documentation.
  • Provide crisis intervention counseling and physical interventions as necessary.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with at-risk adolescents.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license with a clean record.
  • Certifications: Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Adult First Aid/CPR, and DCF Medication Administration.

Benefits:

This full-time position offers competitive pay, including an estimated $45,000 - $55,000 per year, and great benefits, such as medical/vision, dental, employer-paid life insurance, and more.

Shifts:

Multiple shifts available, including first, second, and third shifts. Weekend availability preferred.
