UC San Diego Health has held its Magnet status since 2011. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in our Women's Health Services clinic, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Physician to perform a wide variety of patient care activities. This includes prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, and patient education. You will require initiative, able to prioritize critical demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Job standards are to be performed at the EXPERT level. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the State of California.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
• Previous experience working in an outpatient Women's Health clinic (minimum two (2) years LVN experience required for senior level).
• Requires knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.
• Ability to take initiative, prioritize critical demands and work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Urology experience.
• Experience with diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Experience maintaining sterilization of equipment.

• Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Annual Full Pay Range:
$64,519 - $80,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent:
$38.41

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
