Surveying Team Leader

The Surveying Team Leader will oversee field survey operations related to boundary delineations, ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys, topographical assessments, photo control surveys, route analysis, and construction stakeout, both independently and collaboratively with team members under the guidance of a Registered Professional Surveyor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage field crew activities ensuring adherence to established protocols and current safety regulations.
- Employ robotic total stations and GPS technology for accurate data acquisition.
- Conduct tasks such as driving stakes, documenting comprehensive notes and diagrams, and maintaining surveying instruments and vehicles.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Expertise in utilizing GPS devices, data collection tools, and Total Station technology.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative.
- Solid understanding of land surveying methodologies, techniques, and practices.
- Familiarity with CAD software, civil engineering principles, and construction standards.
- Knowledge of industry-specific safety measures.
- Capability to operate motorized equipment and work outdoors under various environmental conditions.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy materials, climbing, and effectively using tools.
- Strong organizational skills for managing office responsibilities, setting work priorities, and maintaining effective communication with colleagues and clients.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within a designated area.
- A valid driver's license is essential.
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a survey crew is advantageous.
Compensation: Salary and hourly wages will be determined based on experience.
