Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Graham Packaging is a leading manufacturer of sustainable packaging solutions, and we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective installation and operation of our production equipment, production support equipment, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation and maintenance of production equipment, production support equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and supervise a team of maintenance staff to ensure the successful completion of maintenance tasks and projects.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Assist in the development and implementation of the plant's Preventive Maintenance Program to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the management of tool crib inventory, including purchasing and standardizing parts, and maintaining equipment repair histories.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with plant management, maintenance staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an operations or maintenance supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and proficiency in computer usage and typing.
