Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Personnel Security Assistant. Ideal candidates are eager to learn and ready to embark on a new career path. While you may not be familiar with all the responsibilities outlined below, a genuine interest in personnel security, law enforcement, military service, or the intelligence sector is essential. You will be expected to engage in training to enhance your skills. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be reviewing various documents and communications. Teamwork is also vital, as you will collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.

Salary: $45,000 - commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a responsive and professional call center, addressing inquiries regarding adjudicative case status, program information, and policies with a commitment to timely responses.
  2. Handle phone calls and electronic communications from the security community.
  3. Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain positive business relationships during all interactions.
  4. Maintain and update subject records during customer interactions.
  5. Provide assistance to customers, exercising sound judgment to determine appropriate responses.
  6. Clarify security clearance and investigative requirements during communications without needing to escalate inquiries.
  7. Support representatives with high-level and special interest cases.
  8. Assist in the development of various documents, including Standard Operating Procedures, reports, and briefings.
  9. Compile accurate data regarding call center activities and performance, summarizing workload volume and challenges encountered.

Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Must possess a fully adjudicated Secret security clearance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience with a working knowledge of National Security Databases such as JPAS, DISS, CATS, e-QIP, DCII, DPS, OPM, SII, CVS, and PIPS.
  • Education: No formal degree or specific experience required.
