Job Summary

Under the direction of a credentialed Speech Language Pathologist, this role completes a variety of tasks designed to develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication. The successful candidate will work with students who have identified speech and language disorders as well as other disabilities, performing related duties as assigned.

  • Work with students with speech and language disorders and other disabilities
  • Use assistive technology devices for communication
Requirements

An Associate of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders, or graduation from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program, is required. Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board is also necessary. Prior SLPA experience in educational or clinical settings is preferred.
