We are seeking an experienced Operating Room First Assistant RN to join our team at HCA Florida Northside Hospital.
About the RoleAs an Operating Room First Assistant RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons in the operating room.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of intra-operative patients
- Assist surgeons in operative procedures
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or ARNP in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
- Graduate of an accredited by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) and the State of Florida Surgical Assistant Program, or Medical School Graduate, or Allied Health professional having completed 2250 hours surgical rotation
- Current Certified First Assistant (CFA) having completed 350 cases
- Two years of experience within the last four years
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Current Certification as First Assistant (CFA) required
