About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas West. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
  • Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Surgical Tech certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or 18 months of surgical technologist experience in the 3 years preceding 5/21/07.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
