Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Civil Engineering Technology Specialist with the State of North Carolina. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to higher-level technicians and engineers in the contract administration and engineering control of highway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical work supporting higher-level technicians or engineers in contract administration and engineering control of highway construction projects.
• Process monthly and final estimates, checking calculations, resolving pay record and material quantity discrepancies, researching project documents, processing material prepayments, tracking DBE participation, assisting with project meetings, and tracking Technician Certifications to ensure they are kept current.
• Provide general office and computer support for data entry relating to project records, SAP, and HiCams.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or an assigned discipline from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of related experience, with knowledge and skill in the use of computer equipment, iPad, and software, experience working in a team environment to complete assignments, and experience in customer service and interacting with the general public.
