Key Responsibilities
  • Assist instructors with daily skill demonstrations, practice, and student skill mastery
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control, equipment, and supplies
  • Set up and tear down skill prep for demonstrations and instruction
  • Assist with daily classroom supervision of students
  • Record daily class attendance, collect absence follow-up forms, and maintain student absence files
  • Manage and maintain students' in-classroom file cabinets
  • Present skill demonstrations, oversee student skill practice, and assist in signing students off on OBRA task mastery
  • Assist with correcting and filing student assignments
  • Function as a student chaperone on class field trips, as necessary
  • Assist students with curriculum mastery as directed by instructors
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration
Requirements
  • Certified Nurse Assistant required
  • Two years recent long-term care clinical experience preferred, geriatric care experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with students preferred
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of students
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to follow directions and work autonomously
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate
Working Conditions

This position requires regular and reliable attendance. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
